Track Airport Assets

Unit Load Devices (ULDs) are critical to efficient air cargo operations, but tracking them can become difficult as assets move between airlines, freight forwarders, ground handlers, and other logistics partners. Limited visibility into their location, condition, and utilization can result in misplaced assets, unnecessary searches, idle equipment, inefficient workforce allocation, and higher operating costs.

SODAQ's Unit Load Device Tracking for Airports provides a connected asset monitoring solution designed to improve visibility throughout airport and air cargo operations. Built around SODAQ TRACK Solar BLE, the solution combines solar-powered asset tracking with an integrated Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) gateway to collect and transmit information from ULDs and nearby equipment.

The system can communicate with BLE beacons and sensors to capture data such as asset identification, location, temperature, volume, and condition. It can also connect with devices such as radar puck sensors mounted on support equipment to provide additional operational information, including whether an asset is loaded.

Collected data is transmitted to the SODAQ Silica dashboard, giving operators centralized visibility into asset locations, movements, and conditions. Automated notifications can alert teams when assets arrive at key facilities or pass through important points in the logistics chain, reducing manual monitoring and enabling faster workflows.

Data can also be integrated with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems to automate internal processes and support historical analysis. By combining real-time tracking, BLE sensor connectivity, and operational analytics, the solution helps airports and logistics operators improve ULD utilization, recover missing assets, and optimize air cargo operations.
